Telangana bill mathematics
Not ₹8.50 for every home.
Telangana domestic tariffs first choose a category from your total monthly usage, then apply the slabs inside that category. A flat ₹8.50 rate materially overstates savings for many 200–500 unit homes.

How is the subsidy calculated?
For eligible residential systems, ₹30,000 per kW applies to the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 to the next 1 kW. The maximum central subsidy is ₹78,000 for systems above 3 kW. PM Surya Ghar eligibility and compliant DCR modules still matter.
Does BHIMASEN install the system?
Not initially. A registered installation partner surveys, quotes, contracts, installs and provides warranties. BHIMASEN handles education, comparison, qualification and project coordination.
How are electricity savings calculated?
The default calculator applies the FY 2026-27 TGERC LT-I domestic category and slab rates to estimated grid units before and after solar. It does not count fixed charges, customer charges, duty or FSA as avoidable savings.
What if I get a Gruha Jyothi zero bill?
Tell the calculator. For an eligible home at or below 200 monthly units, present energy-charge savings are modelled at zero, so we do not show a misleading payback claim.
Is the calculator price a quote?
No. It is a pre-survey planning range. Final pricing must name the equipment, structure, safety scope, approvals, cable allowances, taxes, exclusions and service.
